New businesses, 2019 results at Tungsram – an interview with Gábor Boncz

Hungarian business daily, Világgazdaság has published an important interview with Deputy CEO of TungsramGabor Boncz titled "New businesses at the company". The article describes that because of the investments, building up new structures, and becoming independent from the former owner, GE, Tungsram had 73 bn HUF revenue and 9 bn HUF loss in 2019. Now the company is holding a tight grip on its costs, investing only in activities resulting in revenue growth and fighting hard the effects of the COVID-pandemic, while its new fields (e.g. components, indoor and vertical farming solutions, UV sanitizing, a facility management software and lighting project solutions in Hungary) are already growing, resulting in 30% of the revenues in 2020. (Will share the interview in an online form when it becomes available later.)
